Bhagavad Gita 5.10

He who acts, offering all actions to the Divine, abandoning attachment, is untainted by sin, as a lotus leaf is by water.

Theme: Purpose

"He who acts, offering all actions to the Divine, abandoning attachment, is untainted by sin, as a lotus leaf is by water."

Modern explanation

When the day pushes against you, remember: You can be fully in the world and not be stained by it, when the work is done as offering, not grasping.

Practical application

Do the work even when motivation has left the room. Discipline is borrowed motivation.

Reflection question

What would I do if I knew this work was preparing me for something I can't yet see?
