Bhagavad Gita 2.20

The Self is never born and never dies.

Theme: Fear

"The Self is never born and never dies. It has not come into being, does not come into being, and will not come into being. Unborn, eternal, ancient — it is not slain when the body is slain."

Modern explanation

When the day pushes against you, remember: The deepest part of you cannot be threatened. Fear is loud only at the surface.

Practical application

Move toward — not away from — the thing you most want to flee, for sixty seconds.

Reflection question

What does courage look like at my current size, not someone else's?
