Bhagavad Gita 2.27

For one who is born, death is certain; and for one who has died, birth is certain.

Theme: Fear

"For one who is born, death is certain; and for one who has died, birth is certain. Therefore, do not grieve over what is inevitable."

Modern explanation

When the day pushes against you, remember: When you accept the worst as already woven in, the present becomes startlingly free.

Practical application

Move toward — not away from — the thing you most want to flee, for sixty seconds.

Reflection question

What does courage look like at my current size, not someone else's?
