• Raised wooden stool or chowki placed against North/East wall
• Fresh red or yellow unstitched cotton cloth draped over the chowki
• Akshat (unbroken rice grains) bed placed under the deity's idol

Devotee Seating (Asana)

• Woolen or kusha grass mat (asan) placed facing North or East
• Low wooden sitting stool (patta/peeda) if floor seating is uncomfortable
• Clean separate seat for the priest (if presiding)

Lamp & Vessel Platforms

• Small side brass plate or low coaster for the Diya to prevent oil spills
• Sturdy flat base for the Kalash vessel

• Brass or copper Kalash (pot)
• Panchapatra & Pali (small water pot and spoon)

Daily Offerings & Consumables

• Fresh flowers and Durva grass
• Roli (kumkum), turmeric powder (haldi), and sandalwood paste

• Pure cow ghee or sesame oil with cotton wicks

• Achaman & SankalpSip water three times, then state your intention for the puja.
• Light the Diya and incenseGhee lamp first, then dhoop — inviting light and fragrance.
• Kalash SthapanaFill the Kalash with water, supari, coin and mango leaves; place the coconut on top.
• Ganapati Dhyan & AvahanInvoke Ganesha with folded hands — Vakratunda Mahakaya, or Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha.
• Snan & VastraBathe the idol with water (and panchamrit if available), then offer cloth and Janeu.
• Tilak, Akshat & DurvaApply roli and sandalwood, offer unbroken rice, then twenty-one blades of Durva grass.
